ABOUT

MURL is focused on the intersection of therapeutic ultrasound, diagnostic ultrasound, genomics, sensors, basic engineering, and medicine. MURL develops smart therapeutic & diagnostic ultrasound techniques for broad clinical themes including cancer, maternal/fetal, and musculoskeletal applications. Our vision is to develop and translate medical ultrasound techniques and devices to the clinic, leading to improved patient care and outcomes.

PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR

Our lab is led by Dr. Avinash Eranki, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, Hyderabad.

He is also the Chief Executive Officer of Eranki Labs private limited, a company that focuses on developing and translating novel ultrasound devices and technology to the clinic.

Dr.Eranki worked with Prof.Chrit. T.W. Moonen, and Dr.Mario Ries at University Medical Center Utrecht, Netherlands, Dr.Bradford J.Wood at the Clinical Center, National Institutes of Health, and Dr.Peter C.W. Kim at Children's National Medical Center on developing novel therapeutic ultrasound techniques for cancer therapy.

EVENTS

Dr. Avinash Eranki was awarded the 2020 Bracco Imaging Distinguished Young Investigator Award in November 2020 by the Focused Ultrasound Foundation and, Bracco Suisse SA for his scientific contributions to the field.

Editorial Board member of Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology Journal since 2018.
